Our mission is simple:
All things Hays County in one place.

We’re bringing together local events, community guides, news, giveaways, business spotlights, and more, so that both locals and visitors can easily find what they need and discover what makes Hays County special.

We believe in transparency, authenticity, and accessibility. That means:

Our goal is to make Hays Roundup the go-to guide for life in Hays County. A trusted local hub where everyone can connect, explore, and celebrate all that our area has to offer.

About Us

Hays Roundup was built with a simple idea: to make it easier for people to discover, support, and enjoy everything that makes Hays County unique.

From Dripping Springs to Wimberley, Buda to San Marcos, our team is passionate about highlighting the best of our community: small businesses, local artisans, events, parks, and the people who make this place feel like home.

We’re not a corporate directory. We’re a Hill Country resource created by locals, for locals (and for anyone lucky enough to visit). We want to help you find your new favorite restaurant, local shop, hiking trail, or event. All in one simple, ad-free space.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, looking for trusted home services, or just exploring what’s new around town, Hays Roundup is your digital front porch, where the community gathers, shares, and stays connected.

About the Founder

I’ve lived in just about every corner of this beautiful part of Texas: Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs, and now, happily, Wimberley. You could say I’ve made the full Hill Country loop!

This isn’t my first rodeo. Years ago, I created Hays Happenings, a beloved lifestyle website that connected locals long before hashtags were a thing. I eventually sold it to focus on raising my (then little, now not-so-little!) crew of three amazing kids. But the passion for community storytelling never left.

Now I’m back, bringing together a powerhouse team of SEO professionals, writers, and tech-savvy geniuses to make sure Hays Roundup runs as smoothly as your favorite Hill Country two-step.

A few fun facts about me:

I built Hays Roundup to be a community hub. One that’s free, friendly, and full of everything that makes this county so special. Whether you’re a long-time local or a weekend wanderer, welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here.
